Originally from San Antonio and now based in Austin, Texas, Matthew’s path to the studio was a journey of reclamation. After a brief foray into Business Finance at the University of Texas at San Antonio, he pivoted to a flourishing career in marketing at the early age of twenty. Three years later, he returned to his creative roots, rediscovering clay as the primary language for his observations. Today, Matthew balances his role as a marketing manager with an evolving international art practice.

Currently, his work in sculpture is a rediscovering of possibilites. Using clay to embody iconic symbols of celebration and joy, Matthew’s collections highlight an intentional dialogue between the viewer and their own inner spirit. Through these playful forms, he explores the "Fragility and modality of life," operating under the firm belief that we can create our own heaven through mindset and presence. While clay is his current focus, Matthew views his practice as an evolving horizon, with long-term plans to reintegrate painting to build immersive scenes and memories that transcend three-dimensional form.

In 2026, Matthew will begin an exclusive European partnership with La Scène des Artistes in Cannes, France. As part of this artist accelerator program, he is establishing a permanent international presence, continuing to share a perspective that radiates curiosity and invites others to see the world through a lens of wonder.
